Meet Dr. Patrick Nicholson
An Adjustment? I Didn’t Even Know What It Was. All I knew was that my neck hurt and I had headaches. My brother had a friend who was a chiropractor. I’d tried everything else and nothing worked, so I was ready to take a chance and made my first appointment.
As I followed the chiropractor’s care plan and recommendations, I felt astonished by how quickly my headaches began to disappear. To think that a misaligned vertebra in my neck could make that much of a difference in my health blew me away. From that point, I knew what I wanted to do in life – help people achieve optimal health through chiropractic care.
A Dedication to the Natural Healing Profession I’m one of 11 children, all of whom were high academic achievers. My family was filled with people in traditional professions: lawyers, college administrators, a nurse, pharmacist, physical therapist, police officer, financial planner, computer consultant and so on. Going to school for something “different” was bound to draw some skepticism. But I knew what I was meant to do, and my commitment was strong.
I was in my junior year at Nazareth College when I had my first chiropractic experience. I graduated from there in 1993 and enrolled at New York Chiropractic College. I’d thought my undergraduate years were tough and had no idea what awaited me there! The classes were long, difficult and demanded untold amounts of time and energy. I earned my Doctor of Chiropractic degree in 1997.
With my strong family background and thorough education, I learned to subscribe to a simple practice philosophy: treat each patient as I would a member of my family. Not just with clinical excellence, but the value and respect I’d give my loved ones.
Outside of the Office On my days off, you can find me staying active or spending time with my wife Jennifer and our three beautiful children: Bailey, Seamus and Myra. I’m an avid runner, doing so 5-6 times per week for 4-6 miles each time. I love most sports, especially basketball, which I played in college and still participate in with local leagues.
